Two Tongues, One Spirit...

Knowing the will of Olódùmarè has never been a simple formula. Long before organized religion, people understood that divine direction is not shouted, it is felt, recognized, and aligned with. The will of the Source is not hidden; it reveals itself when the inner life is quiet, honest, and prepared. The first doorway is stillness and communion. What Christianity later called prayer was, in its original form, a conversation not begging, not rehearsed words, but honest communication between the human spirit and the Divine Breath (Ẹ̀mí). When a person slows down, speaks truthfully, and listens inwardly, guidance begins to surface. Not as noise, but as clarity. Another doorway is recorded wisdom. What many call scripture is not magic text; it is memory preserved. Stories, teachings, and experiences passed down to guide future generations. Psalm 47:1 calls for a jubilant celebration of God's greatness. It encourages everyone, regardless of nationality or background, to express their joy and praise to God. The imagery of clapping hands and shouting with loud songs of joy paints a vibrant picture of exuberant worship and gratitude. This verse invites us to celebrate God's goodness with enthusiasm and to join together in joyful acknowledgment of His greatness.

2 Samuel 22 beautifully captures David's heartfelt praise and acknowledgment of God's steadfast protection. David recognizes God as his rock, refuge, shield, and salvation. It reflects a profound gratitude for God's deliverance from adversaries. It's a powerful reminder of the importance of praising and relying on the Lord in times of trouble, as expressed in verses like Psalm 18:3, "I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies." How does this resonate with your understanding? These goes in line with my understanding and giving me an assurance that when I called the lord he answers me like he's always ready to answer me. It involves surrendering your desires, plans, and worries to God while relying on His wisdom and timing. Here are a few practical step: Prayer and Surrender: Regularly pray for guidance, acknowledging your dependence on God. Surrender your plans and desires, asking for His will to be done in your life. Seek His Word: Find guidance in the Scriptures. God's Word provides wisdom and insight. Reflect on passages that emphasize trust and reliance on God, such as Proverbs 3:5-6. Patience and Faith : Cultivate patience and trust in God's timing. Understand that His plans may not align with your immediate expectations, but His timing is perfect. Listen to His Promptings: Pay attention to the Holy Spirit's guidance. God often communicates through inner promptings, circumstances, and the peace or unrest in your heart. Good is a word we use to describe how our day is, how we're feeling, or how a particular meal tasted. Yet, it's also a word that we use to describe our mighty, majestic, and miraculous God. Seems odd, doesn't it? To use a word to describe God that we'd also use to describe how we felt about our lunch.  We can see evidence of God's goodness everywhere, in every day, and in every situation. Even when we're not aware of His goodness, He's still good. While God does do good things, His goodness is more than just what He does. It's who He is.  Psalm 25:8 NLT says,"The Lord is good and does what is right; He shows the proper path to those who go astray." The Hebrew word for good in this verse is towb, and it means "good, pleasant, agreeable, excellent, and valuable in estimation." God is all of those descriptions! This past year, I did not learn to love Olúgbàlà more by doing more religious activities. I learned by looking inward with honesty. Personal examination became a sacred tool in my prayer life  not to condemn myself, but to come into deeper alignment. Prayer, for me, is no longer performance. It is a space where intimacy is built by truth. When I examine my life before Olódùmarè, I am not trying to impress heaven; I am opening myself to light. This kind of prayer reveals where my life is not aligned with divine order not to shame me, but to invite transformation. Psalm 139 is often reduced to two lines: “Search me” and “know my heart.” But the psalm itself gives a deeper foundation. It does not begin with inspection; it begins with assurance. How Can I Believe What I Have Not Seen? As humans, we trust what we can see, feel, and touch. Our senses are our first teachers. Because of this, faith often looks like a risk like stepping into the unknown with no proof. But true faith is not blind gambling. Faith is a practical certainty born from knowing. Faith becomes risky only when knowledge is shallow. When a person is grounded in the knowledge of Olódùmarè, faith stops being a leap and becomes alignment. Meditation on divine truth is not empty repetition; it is a visit with God, a meeting point between the seen and the unseen. Healing does not come from men. People are only vessels. Power does not belong to the instrument; it belongs to the Source. When healing happens, it is Olódùmarè acting through willing matter. Trust must rest in God alone.
